Mt Shasta Ski Team

Our teams emphasize safety, fundamentals, sportsmanship, discipline, camaraderie and fun while maintaining an affordable program that will lead each athlete to reach his or her potential. We have a few main goals at the forefront of our program's ideals. These goals are set in place to provide a framework for our Board of Directors when making decisions about what is best for our program. These goals are as follows: - Provide a program that emphasizes safety, fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, camaraderie and fun. - Promote focus, discipline, and perseverance among athletes for their continued success in school and life. - Develop skiers and snowboarders who will enjoy the mountain environment their entire lives. - Maintain an affordable, fundamental, and progressive program that integrates the philosophies of the United States Ski and Snowboard Associaiton.  We are a non-profit which endeavors to offer programs at less than their cost through donations from events such as NSGT. The cost of skiing to a young family can be prohibitive. We seek to bring a "White collar sport to a blue-collar community." We also support local ski and snowboard swaps as an avenue to save money and open the door to this terrific endeavor.
