Let's "Bridge the Gap"!

Imagine a vibrant community where a state-of-the-art Bike Park awaits, ready to move Redding forward with fun, fitness, and a flourishing sense of togetherness.

As a collaborative partner, the Redding Parks & Trails Foundation is working to help build the long-held dream of a Bike Park in Redding. While the foundation for the Bike Park has already been laid, more funding is needed to make the dream a reality due to the recent unprecedented rise in construction costs.

Our 2023 North State Giving campaign is dedicated to purchasing ONE ($6,000 each) of the 21 special features needed to complete the final phase of the NEW Redding Bike Park project!

Each feature that is “paid for” by donations from this campaign helps to bridge the current funding gap allowing the project to move forward!!

We're in it too!

To DOUBLE YOUR DOLLARS, the Foundation will MATCH all donations - dollar for dollar - meaning your giving packs twice the punch AND will allow us to potentially fund TWO features ($12,000) instead of one!

We hope you will consider partnering with us on this important community project!  We’re confident the finished product will become a beloved and integral part of our parks and trails system, keeping the spirit of Redding alive for years to come.

How exactly can a Bike Park make a community like Redding even better?

The Bike Park will:

  1. Amplify Redding's identity as a vibrant trail town. Trail towns are friendly places with warm welcomes that serve as destinations for locals and visitors to enjoy while using the local trails. With over 200 miles of expertly designed trails, adding a Bike Park would support and solidify our growing trail town reputation.
  2. Promote a healthy lifestyle. The Redding Bike Park will encourage people to get outdoors and exercise, contributing to the well-being of our community members.
  3. Support skill development. The Redding Bike Park will welcome riders of all skill levels and promote opportunities to navigate local trails confidently. The goal is to encourage growth in riders and enrich their recreational experiences.
  4. Foster inclusivity & build community: The City of Redding's vision, backed by the grant, promotes safe, accessible spaces for everyone, regardless of age or ability. There isn't a better way to create a sense of belonging and ownership in a community than a Bike Park that welcomes all!

An investment in the bike park is an investment in your community! Thank you for your support of our work to create a vibrant and thriving system of parks, trails, and open spaces! Together we CAN make a positive difference for our community!
