The Salvation Army in Redding California has been a constant since 1886. Our efforts have always remained focused on people in Shasta County. Whether families need food, support, utility assistance, help following a home fire or a listening ear or a place to worship, the goal of our Redding Corps has been people. When wildfires consume lands and homes or water rises causing flooding, we stand by waiting to serve. Our Emergency Disaster Services prepare and train to help assist those in most need during natural disasters. Our officers, staff and volunteers stay focused on listening, assisting, feeding, supporting and standing with others. As a non-profit we rely on donations from local vendors, individual gifts, funding, monies collected in our Red Kettle each holiday season and generosity. We are people, helping people who need people like you to give.
