Donate here with WES Community and join a true team effort that will rebuild the heart of campus, the Amphitheater at Whiskeytown Environmental School (WES). You will make an immediate impact for daytime field trip learners and summer camp kids.

Constructed by volunteers in the 1960s, time has taken its toll on the amphitheater. Weather, squirrels, and thousands of students have worn out this special gathering space at WES. It will cost more than $75,000 to renovate the amphitheater, replace crumbling concrete, and create group seating that is more accessible to all students and teachers.

The Redding and Anderson Area Rotary Clubs sparked the project by joining forces, and approaching WES Community to contribute to the Whiskeytown Environmental School rebuild. They wanted to rebuild the Amphitheater to show progress for a vital part of the larger rebuilding project. Thanks to Rotarian generosity and coordinated support, the effort is gaining momentum.

Generous local business Sponsors have joined the effort with a goal to kickstart funding of the 16 amphitheater benches where generations of students have shared this outdoor learning place on the banks of Clear Creek.

Now, with your help, we can complete the push to rebuild the amphitheater for today’s students and those who follow. Thank you for investing in the next 50 years – the show will go on!
