through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research.

The Redding  AAUW branch raises money to fund local college scholarships and to pay for camperships for local middle school girls to attend a statewide STEM conference. 

This year our efforts:

• Supported four Shasta College students who are continuing their education at four-year universities.
• Provided camperships to five middle school girls to attend Tech Trek STEM camp at UC Davis in July. 

We would like to do more. Recognizing the needs of Northstate women and girls for more educational and career opportunities, we support a strong system of public education that promotes gender fairness and diversity, achieving economic self-sufficiency, and guaranteeing equality, individual rights and social justice for our diverse society.
