Join us this Giving Tuesday in making a difference for our community by supporting the development of Panorama Park and the Community Resiliency Center. Your contribution will help bring this one-of-a-kind recreation and emergency support hub to life, offering Redding residents a space to play, connect, and find refuge when it’s needed most.
What We’re Building Together
At 3650 Tamarack Dr. in Redding, Panorama Park will be more than just a park. Spanning over 10 acres, it will feature scenic trails, a vibrant playground, a spacious sports field, a dog park, and lush green spaces. But the true heart of this project is the 22,000+ square-foot Community Resiliency Center. This first-of-its-kind facility will be a lively recreation center most of the time, with a gymnasium, basketball courts, classroom spaces, and a community kitchen. Yet, when disaster strikes, it will transform into an emergency hub, equipped with showers, backup power, and essential resources for displaced residents.
How You Can Help
The Redding Parks and Trails Foundation is calling on generous community members like you to help fund essential amenities for Panorama Park. Your support will ensure this park becomes a welcoming, well-equipped space that serves both recreational and emergency needs. Here’s what your donation can support:
- Benches: $2,500 each – Create restful spots for visitors to relax and enjoy the park.
- Trees: $500 each – Bring natural beauty and shade to trails and open spaces.
- Sports Equipment: Outfit the park for community sports and fun.
- Pickleball Nets: $3,000 each (4 needed) – Help establish a place for one of the fastest-growing sports in the country.
- Volleyball Nets: $5,000 each (2 needed) – Set up exciting games for youth and adults alike.
Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Your generosity will help shape Panorama Park into a community gem that supports recreation, nature, and emergency resilience for generations to come.
